Washed Ashore Weekends at Mystic Aquarium - Mystic, CT

This holiday season, guests are invited to experience Mystic Aquarium’s Washed Ashore Wonderland. Mystic Aquarium will be adorned with festive holiday décor of recycled material. On weekends throughout December, children can build holiday crafts from recycled materials in the Aquarium’s Washed Ashore Holiday Workshop. Visitors to Mystic Aquarium can also meet Santa Claus and enjoy the holiday classic Polar Express as conductors read the whimsical tale.

Mystic Aquarium joins Olde Mistick Village for Festival of Lights on December 12 from 5 to 8 p.m. The outdoor paths of Mystic Aquarium will be illuminated by hundreds of luminaria as guests enjoy seasonal entertainment, face painters, story tellers, hot chocolate and a visit from Santa. Entertainment will be provided by local musical groups.

Holiday Train Show - Essex, CT

The Great Trains Holiday Exhibit - Wilton, CT

Thomas the Tank Engine hands-on train room is open to the youngest visitors.

Each year, the Webb-Deane-Stevens Museum’s “Three Centuries of Christmas” tours show in fascinating detail how the American holiday season has evolved over the past 300 years. This year, two evening candlelight tours, with costumed guides, have been added for viewing the three elegant historic houses that comprise the museum.
