Fourth of July Events in Connecticut

Fourth of July in Connecticut ranges from silly to spectacular

From its harbors and waterfront parks to the elegant greens of Litchfield, Connecticut's communities are hosting Fourth of July celebrations that range from splendid to silly. Hartford will host a Riverfest complete with top-notch entertainers, food, and a fireworks spectacular. The Great American Boom, with carnival rides, roaming clowns, river rides, and fireworks, is coming to Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain. Windham will have it Boom Box Parade and in Middlebury, fireworks will be enhanced with 3-D glasses for viewers. At Mystic Seaport, visitors can enjoy a Fourth as it would have happened in 1870, complete with a parade through the village and old-time games. Truly, there is something for every taste. Notice that most events take place on July 4, but some are on July 3, 5, and 6. Don’t miss any opportunity for patriotic fun.
