Our 154 year old inn is elegant yet tranquil and informal, featuring rich architectural details. Come to Captain Grant's and have where you stay be as memorable as the places you visit. The home, used as a garrison during the American Revolution and a haven for runaway slaves during the Civil War, now is on the National Historic Register. Upon entering you notice our seven-foot wide staircase and mural depicting the Village in 1825. Bedrooms may have canopy beds or fireplaces. In the hustle and bustle of Mystic, the Harbour Inne & Cottage offers relaxing accommodations on the water in a quiet and quaint section of town. We are a short walk from downtown Mystic and just a block from the Amtrak train station. Our four bedrooms each have a private bath, kitchen privileges, cable television and are air conditioned, and our cottage is decorated in cedar and features a fireplace, an outdoor spa on the deck and bedroom that can sleep up to six. A pleasant continental breakfast is available to all guests. The Inne has a social area with fireplace and piano. We are the perfect setting for family get-togethers or small gatherings of any kind, and that includes the well-behaved family pet!

The origins of Early American History began in Old Mystic. The Inn dates back to early 1784 and still provides the feel of the era thanks to the careful preservation and restoration. The main inn once housed the Old Mystic Book Shop filled with Antique books and maps, and then was restored into the inn with its rooms named for New England Authors. The main inn is well-appointed with detail and decorated with Antiques and reproduction furnishings all queen sized beds and private baths. In 1988 the carriage house was built to accommodate four more guestrooms with queen sized pencil post canopy beds, private baths and two rooms with whirlpool tubs. The grounds feature a gazebo, perennial flower beds, stonewalls and large oaks and maples complete this peaceful setting. We offer a hearty gourmet breakfast each morning prepared by chef and owner Michael Cardillo, Jr. along with afternoon refreshments. Specialty packages and seasonal dinner packages are also offered too. Come experience some New England Hospitality.
