Holiday Events Calendar 2023-24

New England’s lively cities, snug towns, and snow-swept mountains are a perfect backdrop for holiday celebrations and traditions at the end of 2023. Come enjoy classic favorites, like stage performances of A Christmas Carol or The Nutcracker, or local traditions such as the festive lighting of the Nubble Lighthouse in Maine. Lodgings offer plenty of ways to combine a holiday getaway with pastimes like skiing, shopping, or theater-hopping.

Native American Holiday Arts & Crafts Market — Washington CT

Shop for one-of-a-kind holiday gifts from local vendors selling Native American crafts, jewelry, and artwork at the Native American Holiday Arts & Crafts Market. This is a great way to directly support local Native cultures & artists and check a few people off of your holiday shopping list (even if it's yourself that you're shopping for). Stop by to purchase gourds, pottery, jewelry, rattles, artwork, flutes, apparel, baskets, beadwork, and more. Donations to the museum are appreciated. Market open during regular museum hours on Saturday and Sunday. Dates: Nov. 25-26, Dec. 2-3, and Dec. 9-10. A guided tour of the museum can be purchased for the price of admission: $12 for adults, $10 for Seniors, $8 for children; IAIS Members, free.

This is a special opportunity to meet Santa in person, tell him your Christmas wishes (have your child write a letter to Santa ahead of time so they can tell him what they want for Christmas!), and have a photo taken with him. Ticket includes breakfast, meet-and-greet/photo op with Santa, and a special treat bag. Among the chef-created menu items are a waffle bar, spinach and mushroom quiche, French-style scrambled eggs, applewood-smoked bacon, assorted pastries, and a hot cocoa station.
