  • Lansdowne Irish Pub & Music House presents a 7-Day Weekend Halloween Party on October 26 at 10 p.m. Guests can enjoy live music by 7 Day Weekend and prizes.

  • Cabaret Theatre celebrates Halloween night October 31 with “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” at 8 p.m. The event is for guests age 18 and older.

Nautical Nightmares is a dramatic experience that explores ghost tales, legends, and unsolved mysteries of days gone by. Inspiration for the 2019 Nautical Nightmares, Wake of the Banshee, is based on Irish, Scottish, and English folklore, referring to the works of Yeats, Shakespeare, and other folk tales abut fair-folk. Nautical Nightmares requires a special ticket in lieu of general admission. Dates: October 11-12, 18-20, 25-27.

This family-friendly celebration brings bewitching ballet, classical music, and special effects. Frolicking Fossils will be performed to music from Saint-Saëns's “Carnival of the Animals.” Bugs and Butterflies is set to a melody from Mendelssohn's “A Midsummer's Night Dream.” Children and parents are invited to wear costumes. Like many 19th-century Americans, Harriet Beecher Stowe, author of "Uncle Tom's Cabin," had an open mind about connecting with the dead. She attended séances and visited mediums. "Spirits at Stowe” will tell stories about the author and describe unexplained events, all conducted in the dark by flashlight. A “planchette,” which pre-dates the Ouija board, will be set up to show how Stowe and her fellow Spiritualists used to receive what they believed were messages from the dead. “Spirits at Stowe” is a 45-minute tour and is recommended for ages 12 and older. Dates: October 24-26 and 31.

This experience is rated PG-13 and may be too intense for the squeamish. For age 16 and older. Reservations are not needed; tickets can be purchased only on the night you attend. Friday and Saturday nights starting October 4. Recommended for ages 16 and older.
