July 4th at Mystic Seaport CT Celebrate America’s birthday as it was done in 1876 with boat races, a children’s spelling bee, picnicking, a parade at 1 p.m., and a concert by the Mystic Silver Cornet Band. Also: play croquet with residents of 1876 Greenmanville and watch live performances by the Mystic Seaport TaleMakers. Help churn ice cream and play 19th-century lawn games. Map.

Family Fourth of July Celebration 2017 - New Canaan, CT

The late day activities will include: family picnicking, live music, children's games area, food court, and a spectacular fireworks display. Event passes are necessary to enter the park both by car or walking and may be purchased at the Recreation Department Office, Town Hall, and by New Canaan residents online at www.newcanaan.info $35 for residents. Fireworks rain date is July 5.
